It was good but it was just not what I wanted from it.
the characterization was lacking.
Michael Bay called, he wants his action scenes back.
The casting was wonderful, but some of the line delivery was questionable.
I do feel that they did a good job with what they were given especially since it was a first person narration book, which is difficult, but none of the lines (or interactions) that I most remember / found most important/memorable were just missing or lacking in umph.
Not enough Haymitch, other stylists weren’t even named.
I just don’t feel like they captured the spirit or the message of the book - which was like revolution is hard times, or whatever.
The Gale reaction shots were really good, however.
Prim was good.
Rue was good.
Death scene of Rue was good.
Cinna was wonderful.
I feel like the “transformation” though wasn’t really that like noticable, but that’s kind of like an Emma Watson complex because Jennifer Lawrence is just TOO DAMN PRETTY.
There wasn’t enough focus on the other tributes; if I hadn’t read, I would have been totally lost.
I dunno, maybe I’m jumping the gun a little bit, but like……..eh.
